Job Title: Compliance Manager

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Conduct internal audit at all facilities to ensure adherence including, but not limited to, the following: 
    - Company policies and procedures 
    - Safety and Risk policies 
    - OSHA compliance 
    - DOT compliance 
    - Local, state and federal environmental compliance 
  • Analyze weekly hours for employees to ensure: 
    - DOT hours of service compliance 
    - Employee hours of service compliance 
  • Develop audit reports which document the audit activities and define action items identified during the audit process 
  • Analyze loss data to identify adverse trends and make recommendations for corrective action. 
  • Provide training support, with company Safety Trainers, for regulatory matters. 
  • Report critical compliance issues immediately to senior management 
  • Work closely with sites to implement a plan to resolve actions items and track results. Re-inspect when items are completed. 
  • Support, develop and implement standards, as needed. 
  • Provide advice and guidance to facilities regarding compliance issues. 

Experience and Education:

  • Bachelors degree in Occupational Health & Safety (or related field)
  • CSP, OHST or similar designation
  • Knowledge of transportation Five (5) years Risk Engineering, Loss Prevention or Safety experience
