OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR – MOBILE, AL

Job Summary:
Our dynamic company is looking for a qualified operations supervisor. The ideal candidate should poses all of the below qualities and skills, in addition to a positive and professional demeanor. The ideal candidate for this position should work well under pressure, work independently, possesses excellent organization and follow up skills, with the ability to multi-task. 

Qualifications:

• At least two years prior supervisory experience in the transportation field (preference given to those with waste experience)
• Strong geographic knowledge of Greater Mobile area
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record
• Good working knowledge of DOT rules and regulations including Hours of Service
• Computer literate and able to input information
• Clearly give commands and instructions
• Ability to multi-task with verifiable positive results

Essential Duties:

• Supervise the safe and efficient operation of a dedicated fleet
• Perform employee observations and truck inspections
• Check in drivers at the completion of their shifts
• Ensure all local, state, and federal laws and regulations are followed to the letter of the law
• Ensure employees are operating in a safe manner, for themselves and the public in general
• Handle any employee corrective action needed
• Continue to educate employees of safety and company policy
• Ensure all employees are given clear expectations
